A couple of technical questions to my few faithful readers:

First, how do you handle RSS feed to Blogger? I'm interested in getting RSS feed from some other sites, but have less than a clue about how to go about it.

This second question is a bit ironic given my lack of knowledge about something simpler: Linux. I want to start a debate on the merits and deficiencies of various flavors of Linux. For instance, what's the best flavor for someone who's a complete beginner interested in security and stability of the platform?

I'd recommend Mandriva (formerly Mandrake) or maybe Fedora or Ubuntu for a linux newbie.

All have nice simple graphical installs, reasonably sensible defaults and the opportunity to set up most hardware stuff in the install. Ubuntu tends to put configurations in strange places though and is maybe harder to learn from once you go beyond "the basics".

Cheers,

I am total linux newbie, experimented with a few different flavours. the one I found the easiest to use was Suse linux. It's really easy to install and if you want to watch dvds and the different file formats it's really easy to set-up. I found this guide really handy. Try it, it's fun.
